ooc: This thread takes place after the SL/INH conflict and exchange, as well as Kiara's puppy shower. Just a little something for the Ichika's to gather without the worry of a formal meeting and to assess the spirits of the pack as a whole. There is no posting order. Was given permission to reference/play Sophie and Boothe.

Since the end of winter to the first touch of spring, the ease one was meant to feel eluded the grasp of the Nomad female. Other things tended to fill her paws when she would rather they be opened and welcoming to the gentle touch of the first flower of spring or caress the soft blades of grass that strove to touch the light of the radiant sun. But her paws were weighted with responsibility, with urgency, calloused and bruised by the countless times she struck the ground or the bark of a tree in frustration in the futile attempts to abate the coming anger she felt. But such treatement only served to damaged her weathered paws, leaving them scarred and tattered, numb to the gentle blades and the soft flora petals. In due time, she wanted them to feel again and be soothed by the natural caress. But for now, she could pretend to feel until she truly could again.

She set out in the afternoon light upon the umber roots that held this weathered autumn tree together. Without reason other than to just revel in the spring light, she proceeded out into the vast sun-warmed valley accompanied by a duo of small feet pattering after her lengthy strides. If there had been a true joy to be found in these weary days, it was the presence of these two souls. Since thier occupation in the Wentworth den, there was hardly a dull moment to be had. Their opposing personalities and show of love for the other always brought a smile to her face when she felt the weight of worry was too heavy to bring the crest to her lips. Their energy made her happy, their smiles warmed her heart. And time and time again, she found herself wishing for a brood of her own to love and to coddle as she poured her affections into them and made the little wandering pair part of this patchwork family.

By the third snag of her mane the she-wolf finally made a motion to stop in the Valley and gave her attention to the rambuntious duo already circling her large form. Their impatience was evident and it ws her own fault for bringing it about. She had promised them a day out to see the lands to their fullest, but also to be aquainted with the pack. While it was a harmless request the reservations had by the she-wolf was all too apparent even when she agreed to their wants. When distance and misfortune was not a part of this pack's life, it perhaps would have been easier for her to comply on a whim without an indepth venture into the consequences of these innocent actions. Would any come to the call of the Nomad? Whom else would she not see cross these lands? Had the chasm made any efforts to close, or rather... had she made any attempts to close it at all?

The dual octaves of impatient whines pulled the golden Nomad from her thoughts to the pair staring expectantly at her auburn veiled visage. And like always, her minor distress was dispelled looking at their eager little faces. Lifting her muzzle she raised a call to the listening ears of Ichika with an invitation to gather on this lovely spring day.
