Io's admiration of the handiwork pleased Ulilohi to see, and she very nearly gave a chuckle at Claudius' embarrassment, but knew that it could only exacerbate his awkwardness in the current situation. Instead, the councilwoman found herself to contently chew away at her treat, partaking in the conversation as if nothing was out of the ordinary. Atisia seemed pleased enough with this reaction and said nothing, to Ulilohi's relief. She was still learning to know him, and already she had noticed his tendency to bluntness. "I have time to spend with you awhile," she said in response to Io. "One of my primary goals today was to catch you both at a convenient time, for this gift." She spoke casually about her duties. Was it her duty to bring gifts to the members of her own tribe? Ulilohi did not fully understand, but she felt that it was in fact her duty. At least, it was not her duty to ignore her tribe's members, so clearly... some kind of interaction was required. She would rather the interactions be dominated by good-hearted conversation and respect, than having the occasional interaction limited to disciplinary matters. The latter kind of leadership would certainly not be an enriching one. Besides, she meant what she said to them, anyway.

Nibbling her piece of meat, she casually leaned over towards Claudius and traced the pattern on the spear he held. "The Master Weapons Craftsman made this out to reflect the four sacred directtions; east, west, north and south. Can you see them in the pattern?" The giantess had long cast the idea that she might ever craft something like this away. She knew her strengths, and they were not in the aesthetics. Though, that did not mean she failed to recognize pretty things.
