Hadley had decided that getting some fresh meat to eat would be a good idea. Knowing that Isa hadn't had the chance to get out of the pack since she'd gone to see Selene, ending up with her not cheered up at all and Hadley in a panic, he'd recalled a nice herd of deer that was a short distance from Casa. Deciding to give her some time on her own instead of being at her heels the entire time Hadley had shifted into lupus form, feeling his fingers retract and muscles shrink down to the smaller size.
Out there Hadley proceeded to look for a deer that would be ripe for the picking. With spring all the deer were on high alert, working to protect the young fawns that had been born so recently. There were still those that were weaker though. Such as the old deer, clearly favoring a leg. It must have been injured at some point. It was a perfect target for Hadley to take down, as nervous as he was about his ability to hunt. Crouching he watched it, ears listening for Isa in case she needed him.
