Isa clung tightly to Hadley. He wished that he'd been stronger, able to stop this from happening. The desire that flooded his veins had overwhelmed him though, leaving Isa exposed. If he had only been more protective. It had just been a short trip to get a meal. He'd wanted to let her have some fun. Next time he would listen to his instincts, and keep her holed up in the room where nobody could get at her. Hadley concentrated on rubbing Isa's back, ignoring the other male. At last, she unlocked and broke free. Now he could deal with the idiot male that had caused this.
Turning to the sandy hybrid Hadley growled. True, it wasn't really his fault. He still wanted the male out of there. Deer still grazed close by, if they had scattered slightly at the sound of the nearby predators. His hackles were raised, for once looking every bit the fierce warrior that he could have been if he hadn't been as gentle as he was. Isa's presence disappeared, Hadley turning to watch her. A yelp came as a buck fought with her, efficiently killed. You should leave now. He hurried to Isa's side, arms wrapping around her, whining softly as he licked at her. Want me to carry it for you?
