Things happened fast and he knew his part, to keep the doe from hurting any part of Palaydrin. It was a hard task, but he knew that just clinging on to her back end helped considerably. He had to also watch himself as the deer was flinging herself this way and that until she started to lose her momentum from lack of oxygen. His eyes were on Palaydrin. Once the doe was on the ground, barely able to move, he finally let go. He watched as she did some type of prayer and then killed her. Her question brought a smile to his face.
“It is most definitely enough. We must change though, we don’t want to ruin the skin. We can hold each end so it won’t drag.”
He said, moving back so he had room to shift. As he had before, he wasn’t embarrassed about his shifting and changed in front of her. His father was far more private than he was and he wouldn’t be offended if Palaydrin wanted to do it in private.
