Zeitgeist had easily lied and cheated his way onto the ship that had set sail for the other side of the world. It hadn't been without its problems though. There had been unexpected dockings to fix whatever mishaps had arisen. Zeitgeist had taken those delays in stride, going as far as to barter out his body in order to get passage on the next ship that was to leave port. The male simply had this strong urge to head out west. He had no concern for the savages that most likely roamed freely about. He had heard stories of how proper civilizations were lacking and yet he still desired to see it himself.

Months after he had first set out the male had finally made it to the docks of Freetown. It varied from what he was used to in Europe but proved to be busier than he had originally anticipated. Having found himself to miss the bustle of life in a port and the sport of negotiating for the best deal Zeitgeist ended up staying in Freetown longer than had been planned at first.

Through just the simple practice of throwing his voice he had managed to trade a couple of squirrels that he had found skittering about for a bird that could truly talk. Actual companionship and conversation was something else that he had come to miss on the long boat ride across the ocean.

So after spending a few weeks in Freetown did Zeitgeist finally move on. He had place to see after all. So with his newest acquisitions and the possessions that he had traveled over with Zeitgeist had finally set out on his way towards marked destinations. Freetown had already been hit so that left New Brunswick and Nova Scotia to go.

It had taken him days on foot to reach the hilly area in which he currently found himself. Of course he had expected as much and such was why he had felt compelled to get the avian companion. He had a pup with hi, as well so he wasn't lacking in those whom he could converse with. The conversations were nothing that would really stimulate one's mind but still it was interactions.

Zeitgeist had settled down at the crest of a hill for a rest as well as a peek around the area. With the light of the afternoon sun shining down upon him he found himself pulling out his old map from a pocket of his vest once again. A tender claw caressed the circled words of New Brunswick. He had finally made it but he had no idea what it was that he was really hoping to find over on this side of the world.

Be sure to come around, I'll be wallowing in sorrow, wearing a frown,
like pierrot the clown.
