Saul Lupus is by Alaine!
He felt a grin stretch his lips upwards as she accepted his embrace- he thought she might have flinched especially since he'd crept up on her. There would have been a prelude to his arrival however and he welcomed the feel of her sinking back against him. She was so warm and comforting, although he thought he could detect some tension in the set of her shoulders. She didn't hesitate to return his sentiment and he gave a soft nuzzle to her shoulder, conveniently taking a deep breath of her scent at the same time. His lick aimed true and he smile as she gave a soft giggle. It was rare that she reacted as such- her giggles were few and far between, although Saul was pleased that he'd been able to obtain a few. Her question confused him for a moment, although he automatically squeezed her tighter for a moment before answering.
Yes, he and Eli had a busy day and he crashed about half an hour ago. He said, thinking of his sons growing body sprawled out on his bed. His son had turned five months old a few days ago and Saul often felt overwhelmed at how fast his son was growing. Why? He questioned nonchalantly, glancing down his nose towards her cheek, hoping to catch a glimpse of those relaxing blue eyes. He understood that she had been wrapped up in her half sister and their relative Miskunn and he was beginning to appreciate these moments. Of course, there was a small nugget of resentment and he felt a familiar need to spend all of his time with her. He knew that he wouldn't be mature of him to demand it though and he remained silent.
How have you been? He asked, a soft murmur against her skin. He could also feel the familiar pull he had when she was near and he fought to keep from squeezing her too tight. He held her safe and cozy, green eyes fixed on their merged reflection in the lake.
