What he did behind her while she was drinking didn’t faze her much. She was ready for his retaliation- readier than she would ever be, but it didn’t come. She was prepared for him to get up in a rage and, just as she did, pounce on her. However, he didn’t. Instead, he came up alongside her, brushing himself against her body, which caused her to shutter. If wolves were capable of goose bumps, she would have them.

She continued to lap her water, noting that he was now doing the same at a distance that was way too close to her. She could feel him watching her, but she didn’t watch him back. If he hadn’t planned to attack her yet, she doubted he would. That was something she didn’t expect from Malakai. She stopped lapping the water, and walked away to lie on the ground a few feet away and begin grooming her paws. It was a brief grooming session as she was done in a few licks. Then she focused her attention on what he was saying.

She smirked – a smirk that he practiced a lot. ”Oh yeah? We’ll have to see about that.” She had the uncontrollable urge to pounce on him again. She rose from her spot, and padded calmly over to him while he was still drinking, and bared her fangs. Then she playfully took him by his scruff and dragged him away from the water. When he was far enough away, she let go and bowed the front of her to the ground in the playful canine stance, ”What you got?” The challenge was up. Would he accept?

Since they couldn’t fight, they might as well get it out some other way. Play fighting was the perfect opportunity- blood couldn’t be shed, but everything else was allowed. Axelle let out a playful growl, wagging her tail. She waited for his move, and she would be ready for it.
