With her whine, Kai had to hide a smug grin that seemed to spread itself over his features. It was exactly the reaction he had hoped for. He wanted her to want him to playfight. It was another type of control and Kai had excelled in it every since he could remember. He shrugged a little, as if he couldn't care less whether she wanted to wrestle with him or not, looking completely disinterested in everything about her now.
However, as he snorted his indifference to what she had suggested and looked totally nonchalant about the whole thing, Kai saw her shift in body posture, and it made him look twice. Something of confusion washed briefly over him as he saw the way she shifted, the way her hackles raised and she growled at him, and noticed immediatly that there was aggression within her now. Before, it had been playful, nothing more than a friendly wrestle. Now, it seemed, she wanted to fight. He was taken a little by surprise when she pounced, falling to the ground with her, only to have her muzzle shoved in his face as she snarled. He took it as aggression and instantly began to writhe beneath her, especially when she felt her jaws around his neck. It was one of the most sensitive parts of him and any sign of an attack at his throat would be met with violence and rage.
This was no different, and as his body twisted and turned to try and dislodge her, throwing his head from side to side to remove her fangs from his neck, he let out a low yelping noise as her teeth pieces his skin. Things changed between them quickly, and now, his playful demeanour had vanished. He had bitten her. Now, everything was different. With a surge of adrenaline, his fight-or-flight response kicked in, except Kai had no 'flight' option. It was fight all the way with him. His jaws began snapping as his head turned, trying to grab a hold of her, anywhere on her - her ear, her muzzle, her own neck, anything he could bite at, he did, all the while his body wriggled and jerked to get the upper hand, scrambling against the forest floor to try and get a good footing against this female. She had succeeded - he would wrestle her now, but he would take her bite as provocation.
