There was a sort of trick to the whole thing, at least thats what he saw. Sitting on a small bump in the pathway was X'ies, staring down at a small trail of water that was moving across the path. His right paw out in front, one of his claws rocking back and forth a small pebble as his eyes stared into the water. If he dropped it, just pushed it an inch forward, gravity would take its toll and the thing would tumble down into the path of the water. Altering its course. Just one small pebble was enough to do this, it could split the stream of water. Perhaps send it in an entirely new direction. Thats the way negotiation worked, apparantly. Such things were to be his future, where some pups trained to fight, he was brought into the world of words all too quickly and his mind was twisting and bending, a knowing, an understanding. And a hunger for more.

He had came here for the quiet. Time alone to think away from the noises of the other families. To consider just what his days lessons had taught him, if anything. There was after all only so much a pup could take in after one day. And there were only so many things that he could have explained to him, before he had to figure things out for himself. He rocked it back once again, dropping a small fang out the side of his mouth as if chewing on a lip. Then he gave it a push, just a little flick forward. And the tiny flow of water, no more than a centimeter or two wide. Split. A grin on his inner mind. Understanding. Divert aggression, by pushing a pebble in the way.

A noise from up ahead. Footsteps. His head tilted to the side as his body brought itself up. X'ies doted forwards, just to see who this new comer to his quiet sanctuary was. His thoughts for the day were done, at least for now. But just what pebble had fallen in his stream?
