In the deepest part of me

It was the first taste of that type of fruit that he had ever had. Despite the extreme hunger that had taken him, Conri took the time to roll the small piece around in his mouth, down across his tongue in careful motions before biting in to it. The juice was sweet and plentiful, like nothing that the young hybrid had ever tasted, and he relished in the new experience for a short moment. His stomach, all the while, roared growls of protest, urging him on to gulp the fruit down and be done with it. It was the sound of somewhere near that brought the almost tranquil experience to a halt. Steps from behind him, which caused his arm to drop to his side, releasing the apple with a thud to the ground.

The voice haunted him or, rather, something else inside of him. It was like a memory from a dream or something else vaguely familiar. Turning suddenly, Conri brought his arm up to wipe away the small bit of juice that had gathered at the corners of his mouth. The voice continued to laugh at him, taunt him, but when jade eyes settled on the figure it turning into something like a hiss, a small voice that uttered a name in his ear. "Haku.." The name slid out with ease, though it was something that Conri barely recognized. In his head he was in a panic, confused and feeling less and less in control, but his body spoke mountains. His movements were suddenly fluid, careful and purposeful, and he brought his hand to his chin, scratching there a moment.

"Did you miss me, dear?" He practically purred, the grin of a madman stretching across his features, up in to calm eyes. "Are you still drinking?" He asked then, one brow raised in a curious manner, his hand finally dropping to rest idly at his side. There were faint images in his head, things that Conri simply didn't understand, but something else inside of him knew exactly what was going on.
