What Malakai said hit home to Lukos. He figured out what Zepar meant; omega. Even though he was in the pack, he was hardly better than dirt to his superiors. He needed to earn his place in the pack, instead of just waltzing in and being everyone's favorite wolf. "I'm sorry, I was just excited to be in the pack." His ears went up when he wasn't paying attention, so he flattened them to his skull, seriously thinking of pinning them to his head until he's not a Zepar anymore. He laughed nervously when the black wolf threatened him with 'practicing his own talents' on him if he disrespected the Angelo or Angela, which the latter probably meant a female of Alakai's stature. "I promise not to trouble you or anyone higher than me unless I'm needed." Which I think that anyone higher might not even notice me, he thought to himself.
