Ookami laughed, "A lumbering giant huh? Well, it just makes it easier to pin you down." He laughed again, squeezing her gently closer to him as he rubbed his hand up and down her arm. He listened to her story about Tharin. His ears went back in confusion, trying to decide if he had heard her right.

His first reaction was to feel betrayed, but then he realized it was his fault. He had been gone, and if he had been here it wouldn't have happened. And he imagened that Adonia most likely felt betrayed when he was gone too. He stopped walking and turned her towards him. His left hand gripped her shoulder lightly as his right tilted her chin up to look at him. "Did he hurt you?" That is all Ookami cared about. If Tharin had hurt his Adonia, then there would be a price to pay for him. But if not, Ookami could only forgive Adonia because he knew it was the right thing to do. Nothing had happened, she had resisted because of him. And Ookami was grateful and happy for that.
