I can't do this alone

Alder watched the horse as he waited for her reply, hoping to gain as much information on the stallion as possible before moving further into the pasture. Eyes returned to her as she replied, and he gave a nod of understanding. Stallions were peculiar creatures, unlike their gelded adaptations and mares. They could be overtly aggressive, towards other horses and of course wolves.

The Marshal thought over her offer for a moment, weighing between using her to corral the horse into a small portion of the field so that he could possibly loop the rope over his head or to see if he could first do it on his own. Though she was from another unfamiliar pack, as her scent explained, he did not wish for her to be injured. He was unsure if she was experienced of not… But figured they could at least try to work together.

The male nervously cleared his throat, and then nodded once more. Lets see if we can corral him with our bodies. He looks fearful and agitated, but is likely tired. If we block him from running maybe I can get close enough to tether him… Then we’ll see what happens. He gave a smile, the unpredictability of the situation making the conclusion a mystery.

Standing in the pasture Alder watched for a change in the horse’s body now that they were inside the fence. The black and white horse stood for a moment, watching but then moved from one end of the fence to another. Alder inhaled, and in the exhale he released the tension that had build in his shoulders. Calmly, loosely and with an odd sense of confidence he moved forward. Blue eyes looked back at the female as he walked, his left arm extended outward and the rope in his right. He needed her to stand at his left with a decent distance between them, to block the possible pathway for the stallion. Her form would create a wall, slowly eating up the space of the field and causing the horse to search for an escape. He would then find the tall Courtier, standing with the same intent.

Alder gave a small wave, to direct her into place. Then, they would simply need to see how the horse reacted.
