The black and white Marbas kept a close watch on what Alder was doing. She watched the male creep forward to the horse, and whenever he paused, she would too. Then he would start creeping toward the cornered horse, and she would slowly follow in the same stance she kept from before. Both of their movements were steady and careful to not show the wrong expression. The horse seemed to calm a bit more, and at least he wasn’t snorting or stamping his hooves anymore.
Alder said something to the horse that made Axelle’s head snap in his direction. It was in a tongue that she couldn’t understand, but it interested her a lot. The horse seemed to understand him and calmed a little bit more. Now he just stood there alertly looking at the two wolves approaching him. The second thing he said to the horse, she understood. He used low speech that time and she followed what he said and nodded with caring eyes at the large creature. Then she spoke up herself, telling him that she only wanted to help him. That she would just take his rotting bridal off, and then if he wanted to come with her, she would feed him like a king.
The two crept up to him closer now, but the horse didn’t seem threatened anymore. He didn’t seem stressed out by their presence and he actually seemed tamable for the moment, which was probably only an assumption. She secretly doubted that actually getting him to come with her would even be the slightest bit of easy.
