I can't do this alone

Alder took a good look at the horse, but did not make to grasp his legs to examine his hooves, as he truly desired. The Marshal wanted to look him over, to check his mouth of disease and to make sure that there was no rot in any of his hooves. The bridle made his mouth a great concern, and he looked at its condition when the female took it from around the horse’s head.

He did not appreciate those that left their companions in such a dilemma, and harsh hateful things passed through the gentle male’s mind when he thought of that creature.

The stallion showed no further agitation, happy to be freed from the bridle and to know that he was safe beside the canine pair. She spoke, causing Alder to look back to her with a bit of surprise. Her compliment caused him to feel warmth in his face. He was far from any genius. I’m happy to help. He replied, voice far from flowing with confidence. Now that the recovery was complete he slipped back into his socially awkward demeanor.

He will need to be checked over, by a healer. He added, looking at the horses mouth. There could be infection in his teeth. He explained. It was fairly obvious to him that she would be taking the stallion back to where she came from. Alder saw the connection she had towards him.
