Alister chuckled at Jiva's unsettled expression, but continued on with his teaching. He watched as the knife came towards him, not as shakily as before. "Alright, watch carefully." His palm collided with the back of Jiva's wrist, fingers slowly wrapping themselves around the inner to the bottom of his palm. "The idear is to stop it at the wrist, grab the pad, twist." He carefully twisted Jiva's arm around. "Then you want to place your thumb on the flat part of the blade." His thumb tapped on it once. "Then simply shake." He shook his wrist until the knife came free. Stooping to pick it up he didn't give the knife back this time. So, basically it's: grab, thumb, shake. Simple enough."
He adjusted Jiva's knife into the grip he taught him. "Right then, now you try. Slowly he stepped forward, making as if to attack, the motion was slow enough, and Jiva was in no true danger. Remember, grab, thumb, shake. Hazel eyes watched for Jiva's advance, noting his form.
