OOC here!

Taru's presence was gentle, reassuring. She was a warm protective blanket against the nightmares of the world. Why Taru was there for her when her Mahn wasn't she didn't know. It just ached to think about. Taru had been there at her first shift when her family hadn't been. She'd gifted Dalgina with Tehu, her closest friend, and had taught her how to speak with the birds. Her own family had decorated their home with her art, but Taru had helped her carve, and always listened to her speak about her art, despite being unable to enjoy it.

Licks caressed against Dalgina's head, soothing to the shaking pup. She couldn't stop, trying to process what had happened, and always returning to that same pain filled state she'd started in. Why was it so hard? Nodding Dalgina looked up at Taru, her voice quivering. Okay. She wanted to ask Taru why Mahn had done that. Why she had struck her family. Why Dalgina was so scared, and why her family didn't seek her out but Taru did. So many questions, and she didn't have a single answer.
