Life in your arms

She was once again, sitting in front of the grave of her stillborn son. It was difficult for her to do much else since she couldn't help but feel it was her own fault that their son didn't make it. He had been carried inside her a month longer than he should have been. It was amazing that Amatha had even survived. The silver woman stood slowly, realizing that by dwelling on what would never be, little Amatha wouldn't see her mother very often. She had to go home. She had to apologize to Hadley for not being there when she should and perhaps they could return to Casa. Amatha's eyes were open now, surely they could return to their home.

Making her way back to the house, Isa opened the door to find Hadley curled up with Amatha and Kade. Isa moved across the room to sit beside him and she leaned down and kissed his cheek, not wanting to wake him but hoping he would wake soon so they could talk.
