Her tail beat against the ground, a steady rhythm welcoming him to the meadow. They would always be linked in his mind, the sweet playful girl that he had gotten to know and the wide meadow full of prey. The happy whines brought one of his own forwards, pushing his nose against her before withdrawing again. He nodded his head, remembering when she'd first showed it to him. Fayne had lit up the instant they stepped inside, changing to someone more innocent, more happy. What was she worried about though?
Looking back he watched Saki move slowly, doing her best to keep up. Her name's Saki. Laughing he watched Saki's eyes go big, clearly unsure how to deal with this large happy adult. At last Saki quietly said hi back, and stuck her nose forwards to sniff at Fayne as well. That was a step forwards. I'm not so sure about that. Titania's pups will be born soon after all. When that happened, the pack would have a reason to celebrate, Amy or no Amy. Pups are always good. Even this one, taken in during such bad circumstances.
Family comes first.
