sharksFor a moment, he considered just dropping the disguise. He could trust her, couldn't he? Rachias did not smell like Inferni, though Samael's very recent scent still clung to her. Instead, he thought he could smell their father. If she was still with the clan, then would Samael have tried anything that stupid? Or did Gabriel's protection simply not extend beyond their childhood? Red eyes watched her from behind his mask as she stopped, guilt creeping up from behind his anger. He didn't want to lie to her -- what was the point? She had gone looking for his body; why should he be as cruel as to keep pretending that he was dead? But for some reason, he couldn't help but think that maybe it was better that she was already done mourning for him.
