A hurricane was coming. Those simple words had been enough to get the hybrid moving. He didn't know much about hurricanes, but there had been one near his home when he'd been very very little, and he remembered the destruction. Amatha had been secured in the courthouse basement, and told to stay there. He didn't want to be wandering off looking all over for her when the hurricane came. She was usually attached to him, but that didn't really matter. Right now he had to concentrate on getting the courthouse where everyone was gathering ready.
Luckily there was plenty of wood in his shop, so he was able to bring that forwards. Muttering quietly he figured out how he was going to do this. Tail swaying he grabbed large planks and began to pull them together, working on making a ramp for the horses to enter the courthouse in. That wasn't all that was needed. Barring up the windows to prevent the storm from destroying the rooms inside and making sure there was food for the pack while they waited for it to let up would be needed as well. He could only do one at a time though, and began to lash the planks together, moving as quickly as he could manage.
