M - Glowing Embers Fly Across the Sky

When nobody was around, Alessandra danced.

She swayed this way and that, twirling her one good silk shawl to accentuate her movements. The coyote woman danced to a silent tune, one that she imagined. Sometimes a hum would reverberate in her lungs and she would try and bring her song to fruition, but it seemed now was not time. Her large, dish shaped ears caught the grunting and scraping of someone at the door and the pungent scent of blood pierced the air. Less twirled around once more, and then swiftly walked over to a peg hammered into the wall and hung her precious shawl off of it before going to open the door. The sight of Reykr trying to drag a freshly killed deer into the house set fire to the blood on her veins and she snapped a rather coyote-ish yap in his face before standing inbetween him and the doorway.

“ There is no way you are bringing another bloody mess into our house! “ She said heatedly, the skin under her cheek fur flushing red. “ Max! “ The woman called out, her tail flicking back and forth behind her like an angry cat. The white wolf seemingly appeared out of nowhere, looking from Reykr to Lessa and then back to Reykr. Once he gauged the situation he laughed a deep, booming laugh and winked at Reykr. “ Yes, Alessandra? “ He replied in an almost too pleasant voice, enjoying the anger Less directed at Rekyr. “ Please help Reykr hang up the deer from a tree limb. I will not have anymore blood staining my clean floors. “ With a final huff she turned her back on her love and shut the door defiantly as she returned inside to ready the house for the coming night.

Max snickered at the retreating back of his childhood friend and then grinned at her love. “ Guess she doesn’t much like cleaning up after dinner. “ He picked up the other end of the deer and motioned with his large head over to a tree in their front yard. It had been outfitted with a cleaning station of sorts, sharp knives were placed in glass jars at the base of the tree and there was a thick length of rope hanging from a sturdy tree limb. “ We can tie it’s feet up there and hang it, if you like. Don’t think we have much of a choice. “ He said in a deep voice, punctuated by another grin.
