Camptown lady sing this song "do dah, do dah"

OOC: Crappy post, sorry. DX

IC: Due to her lack of possessions to truly make the place her own, Kenna still often found herself camping out in the forests just outside Thornbury rather than sleeping in the shelter of her claimed home in the little town. She didn't mind staying out under the stars though, she had done it for nearly a year before she'd come to Cercatori d'Arte. It was probably just a little odd to others who knew she preferred to sleep in the wild rather than in the wooden dwelling. But despite having claimed the house as her own, it still didn't feel quite like...home. On this particular cool autumn night, the cowgirl had once again returned to the meadow she frequented and set up a little camp of sorts, her horse Dust dozing close by. Earlier she had hunted and caught a couple rabbits. Their bodies now resided on a spit over the fire, cooking and casting a delicious scent into the air. The fire crackled merrily creating a warm, flickering glow and provided just enough heat so that Kenna didn't require her newly acquired fur cloak.

As she waited for her meal to cook, the collie woman rested beside the fire on a small blanket, her knees tucked up against her chest, arms wrapped about them loosely. Her blue gaze was fixed on the dancing flames as her mind wandered in many directions. She was used to be alone, but now that she was a part of a pack, having company was becoming more desirable. Her thoughts touched upon the one close friend she had made in the pack, Adrian. The male was attractive, charming and seemed to bring out the best in her. She enjoyed spending time with him and she felt her heart give a little wanting flutter as she found herself wishing he was with her by the fire. A small sigh escaped her as she glanced away from the light of the fire and over at Dust who she could just make out silhouetted in the shadows of the trees along the edge of the meadow. She'd really only ever known Dust's company, but now that she had befriended Adrian, among others, Dust...just wasn't' enough for her anymore. She needed the interaction of her pack mates, not the one sided kind she had with Dust.

She watched Dust as she mused quietly to herself and an owl hooted somewhere in the distance. Dust's ears swiveled lazily towards the sound, his tail flicking side to side as he hung his head, half sleeping where he stood. He had become used to being in the meadow with Kenna and so felt comfortable enough to sleep there. Returning her gaze to the fire, the hybrid woman was just about to check her meal when suddenly a familiar scent caught her nose. Ears perking she looked up just in time to see the large form of the very friend she had been missing appear from between the trees and come into definition in the fire light. "Mind if I join you?" A grin instantly found its way to the girl's maw, her tail thumping softly on the blanket. "Not at all..." Kenna then scooted over to make room for the larger male beside her.

She then noticed the instruments Adrian carried with him, her eyes catching on one particular item. The guitar. She'd always wanted to learn to play the stringed instrument. "That is a gorgeous guitar." She admired the finish on it and the way it caught in the fire light. "I didn't know you played." She chuckled, smirking softly. "Is that why you're here? To serenade me by fire light?" She winked and as soon as he was settled next to her, gave Adrian's shoulder a playful nudge. "I find it funny how you just show up just as I was thinking of ya, Adrian." She admitted as she leaned forward and checked on the two rabbits over the fire. Determining they were done she smiled at her guest. "You're just in time for dinner." She said, gesturing to the meat. "You're welcome to have one."
