"Well, you ought to be more on your toes, then. I'm not sure how things went where you were from, but around here some of the wolves like to fuck with us for no reason at all." He was blunt, as always, but he also had an important and relevant message. "Anyway, you came at a good time. Inferni has recently gotten out of a war. It was between us and Dahlia de Mai to the west. I'm telling you this because as a member, you are forbidden to go there. We reached a ceasefire agreement, but that doesn't mean things are very stable." Any little thing would probably set them off.
"Just south of Dahlia de Mai is another pack called Esper Hollow. They are currently experiencing some sort of epidemic. Obviously we don't want that working its way back here." A small grin formed at the corner of his mouth and he peered back up at her somewhat impishly. "Obviously you are welcome here. The real question, then, is if you still want to stay." A rough laugh threatened to escape him, but he kept his mouth shut lest he look insane. Anselm just didn't think it was fair to sign others up without them knowing what they were getting into--they might not stay once they found out, anyway. War, plague.. yeah, and this was the happiest he'd ever been.
