Pups grew very quickly, and she knew that it wouldn't be long until they were out on their own. She wanted to be there every step of the way. At the same time, though, she knew that she had her leadership and healing duties to attend to--they would have to adapt to being without her sometimes. She would be there as much as she could. Naniko didn't feel bad about having those duties, though; her own parents had abandoned her completely. She wouldn't be doing that to them, not ever.
"That would be so great. I think that they'll all be okay...we don't have to go too far away. And I'll still be using the house for my patients, so I'll be in it for parts of the day. I just don't want to live inside it any more, you know?"
