--just realized I screwed up his eye color.. yay for replying when you're half asleep. Stupid me last night--

He knew the deeds the male had done, the fact that his own littermate was without a father, well he'd died at the hands of the current leader of Inferni. He'd heard the truth of it, of how his mother's mate had been the one to make the first move, of how Gabriel was defending himself.. blah, blah, blah. He understood that the male next to him was dangerous and deadly but until Gabriel made his move or instructed him elsewise the silvery grey male would still stare wistfully towards the clan's lands and wonder if he'd lost the wild crimson eyed girl who had been able to make him follow her like a puppy on a string. It had been his choice, his irresponsible choice, but like the wanderer he had been he'd thought his skeletons had no way of chasing him across the lands.. but then again he'd never thought he'd find his ass back here among these familiar faces.

He just nodded quietly as Gabriel granted him that simple question. There was no use getting into explaining things on subjects that neither of them probably wanted to hear, DaVinci wasn't exactly the biggest fan of his mother because of the crisscrossing paths their lives had taken and he knew enough about the two leaders paths to even continue picking at the sore. His ears flicked back uncomfortably as Gabriel spoke the truth, of her having found her father, Davinci knew that already, he knew how happy and excited she'd been at getting her second chance at having a place to belong. The words were old news to him, but it still stung. The boy who never cared about his bloodlines and the girl who wanted a family so bad.

His thundercloud eyes seemed to flash for a second as Gabriel hit the target dead on. He wasn't going to lie to the leader, where would that get him but trouble when the truth came out later if it was given the chance. "Yes. I would have done it for her you know." He'd never admitted that to Ryan. The truth, that before his offspring had been dropped at his paws he would have given up his rogue life for her. He doubted he'd have been carefree and happy in the clan's lands but he would have been with her. He couldn't explain why.. she just have a hold on him in a way no one have ever come close to... but she hadn't asked him to give it up for the world she believed was her chance at belonging.
