Ask the Lonely

Firefly picked at the long guard hairs along her tail as her emerald eyes studied the woman before her. At the mention of never being able to return Firefly smiled lightly and just shrugged. "Then we are destin' to dream forever of distant shores and live our halflives here as mere mortals" She dropped the game of playing with the silvery gold strands that laced her hide as she stretched and decided that it was best to just follow suit of the other female and linger about and relax. There was no reason to go on about her duties today, it was highly unlikely that anything would happen or be of interest until nightfall. Letting lose a jaw cracking yawn Firefly snapped her teeth shut and smiled at the dark hued woman.

Settling in opposite of the other female Firefly watched the ivory orbs watching her as a mild silence settled over them. She knew that the pack gossipped and she figured that the word had spread to Cwmfen already about the golden bronze lass. She let her eyes drift shut as Cwmfen began to speak of DaVinci, she wanted to laugh at how the woman believed that he had found a place for himself, a smirk spread across her lips as she did admit lightly. "I can bet it's safe to say he's still broading and contemplating the cruelities of life." DaVinci would always find something to broad over, or life would always give him something. It was like the boy lived in a world where once he got over one hurdle another mountain stood in his way. DaVinci would always be climbing to the top only to find himself on the bottom again.

Running her tongue across her fangs as she chuckled at the sad thought Firefly flicked her gaze to the other as she smiled. "Don't assume he's found his place just yet." She might like her hybrid brother better than any other family member outside her lover but she knew that in some twisted little way DaVinci would never be happy wherever he was at, he was neither wolf nor coyote and he couldn't find the fine line between where others could see him and not what he was. She shook her head and rubbed her nails across her muzzle, thinking slightly on her strange brother's obsession with making other's see through his stormy orbs.

Her ears rotated forward as the other woman turned towards their subject of war. Firefly grinned towards the woman as she spoke of the history of the world. She flicked her ears back after thinking on what she said before crossing her forelimbs and smiling smugly as she laughed. "Well, think of it thisway.. Our life here has only begun, we're not doomed to repeat history just yet, just doomed to make it." Her eyes twinkled with dark humor at the facts of life.
