Ask the Lonely

The words of the dark hued beauty made her flash her fangs as she smiled. Firefly, named after a creature who's life was but a brief blink in the eyes of their kind craved something more than the mortal, atleast considering how suddenly their lives could be cast from them. She figured that if forced to live the life of a mortal she would make herself seem immortal, a feat she learned wasn't as hard to concoct than she'd originally assumed. Her life was still a little bare and still a little boring from time to time but she figured that she might find a way to make things a bit more interesting. "Who ever said we'd be fleeing death.." she said with a smirk as she wondered why everyone seemed to think that they feared death, she did not, though if she lived to see forever perhaps she would seek out death in the end.. it was a thought, what if in the end death turned it's back to you.

She watched idly as the woad marked warrior seemed to find some satisfaction in the final destruction of the autumn dry leaf. The smirk that always seemed to play across her maw was missing for a moment as she watched the other, wondering why she was indeed so concerned for her halfblood sibling. She narrowed her eyes slightly as she realized that those orbs had turned towards her now. Firefly's inner discontentment wasn't on the agenda today, nor would it ever be except between the male and herself. They would burn the bridge and rebuilt over and over again, passion fighting with her other heated rash emotions as Haku brought the best and the worst out of the woman. She pushed the thoughts aside as Cwmfen began to speak uo, her words making Firefly raise a brow as she scuffed. "You actually believe that?" She knew part of her brother's unhappiness and she knew the last roadblock wasn't anything he could control. She shook her head and sighed, her doubt in the other's belief's were clear as day. "Sometimes the only choice left is what makes us find ourselves surrounded by unhappiness. So.. I guess if that is the only choice then we do make our own unhappiness come true." She knew she was twisting the words of the other woman but to live with a belief that everything could bring about happiness in the end if you made the right choice.. she knew irony was a powerful beast.. and irony seemed to like to linger in DaVinci's life.

She just shook her head as Cwmfen tried again and again to turn her thoughts but she just smiled that warped little smile that swore there was more to it yet never let one know just what it was. "He's found something alright.. but I don't think he's waiting on himself to catch up.." The tip of her tail flicked back and forth as she grinned at the misty orbed woman as she just stretched out her limps and flicked the crushed pieces of leaf away. "Perhaps you should go ask him yourself though.. maybe I don't know him as well as I think I do." She knew DaVinci, she knew him well enough to even know when he wasn't telling her the whole truth. She didn't pursue him on the subjects though, she'd learned in the end he'd come around and he always did.. this time though she'd stayed far away from the topic at hand, knowing well enough that she didn't need pulled into his love affairs, mysterious new arrival of unknown children and the pack their mother co-lead. She'd rather stay far far away from there. It might be interesting enough, but she could fix her own boredom without weaseling into his little world.

When Cwmfen turned back to the history of their little pack and the subject of repeated doom or glory she chuckled. "If everyone else is doomed to repeat history, then the making of history would be a form of doom itself, except we're privledged to not having to repeat our mistakes. Just make them the first time." Her dark grin was enough to show that she found amusement in how they moved about in their little world. She grew quiet a moment as Cwmfen spoke of them being artists since they were the designers of this knew strange place. Sweeping a paw across the grounds she left a blank white canvas before them as she spoke. "If we're artists.. we're going to have a lot of work cut out before us to make this into a masterpiece.." She could imagine what her world would look like but she knew it probably would clash dramatically with the next soul. Shaking her head she raised her orbs from the clear surface of the winter snow as she wondered what Cwmfen saw in all of this.
