The brown pup looked around, little ears swiveling back and forth hoping to catch some familiar voice that was calling for her. That happened some times, one of her mothers would be shouting her name if she wandered out of sight. But lately they hadn’t cared as much if she ventured away, and now she was all alone.

Violet eyes closed slightly as she sat against the cold sandy bank. Having no idea what to do with herself, or which way to go the reality of her predicament started to come to the surface. The questions flooded her brain all at once, but one stood out. What if she didn’t get home?

Her efforts to solve her problems were interrupted when she was faced with the approach of a blue-eyed female. Her tail wagged, but the sight of the stranger kept her in he seat. Strangers weren’t always friendly, and she had been warned about talking to them. The adult asked her the pivotal question, and for a few seconds all she could do was stare up at her.

I dono. Her voice peeped up to the lady’s large ears. She seemed to be nice enough, she soft coat and bright eyes looked friendly and inviting. She wish she knew where they were. Wheres yours? maybe they were both lost.
