Outside of the rocky fortress of the pack den there was quite a snowstorm raging. The frosty air of the outdoors could be felt on the very fringes of the wide entrance of the cavern, where it spilled out and eventually melted into the natural warmth of the room. Then again, perhaps the fact that there was a purposely kept fire in that very first room that helped to keep the cold away. Valentine had watched the snow swirling around from the entrance for quite some time, wondering just how much more would eventually pile up before it all quit. The cold wouldn't have been so bad if it hadn't been so windy, but when it came to weather there wasn't really a whole lot any of them could do about it. So he had retreated to the depths of the cavern, settling for the library once more to occupy himself for the time being. He had never really found anything to read thus so far, but there was quite a lot to pick from. Some of the books were so worn he was indifferent to moving them beyond were they sat, others were not so worn. Different languages, thin and thick books, they certainly had quite a lot to choose from. So once again, he was back to the silent debate of just which shelf to pick from, and just what books to choose.
