He nodded at her words and took the instrument from her hands, but he would be certain to put it away when she was well on her way away from the cabin. He just smiled sweetly and looked at her with honest eyes that expressed great gratitude for the gift she had presented to him. ”You are right. Thank you, sister.” He nodded at the pronunciation of his sons’ names. He turned his back at the woman and beckoned for her to follow him into the house. It was not really a request, his gesticulation was commanding. He knew the woman was not fond of Firefly and the other way around, but she could wait in the living room. The children had taken the mother’s strength, he was certain she would not wake up yet, so they had a few hours. He stepped lightly to the room with the children and poked his head into the room. Firefly was sound asleep, but the children were not. They were very small still, and whimpered more often than not, but they knew his scent, knew who he was, so none of the two children made much more noise when he carefully lifted them away from their mother’s warmth and clutched them against his warm chest. A little mewl here and there, but they kept still. He turned around and left the room as quietly as he had entered, but now with two tiny bodies in his arms. He walked to the living room where his sister was waiting. He smiled at the pale woman, introducing her to the two children. He refused to make it known that he had issues telling the children apart. ”Conor and Emwe, this is your Auntie Mew.” He walked closer to let her have a better look. Perhaps she would even be willing to hold one of them.

”Want to hold them?”
