She felt a little insulted and the expression on her face indicated it well. The way he spoke to her made her feel like a mere child. Alexey’s face twisted into a rather irritated grimace that displayed just what she thought of his attitude and what she really wanted to say to him. Something along the lines of: you’re an ass. It was best to hold her tongue though; challenging the Lillium wouldn’t give her anything aside from a few bruises, maybe. Conor suddenly piped up with a comment of his own and right before Alexey could do anything about the little fur ball, Haku interjected by pushing his son towards her. “Oh yeah, that’s real mature of you Haku,” she said with disdain as she took a step toward the confused child sprawled out on the floor. With one swift movement, the tawny girl picked up the blue-eyed darling and cradled him against her chest. Her honey-hued eyes had lost their usual warmth, it was clear that both of them needed to get away from each other before things got out of hand. She did not say anything when the Lillium informed her of his other son’s whereabouts. Instead, she climbed up the stairs to the children’s room. Despite their little argument, both of them had gotten what they wanted. Alexey got to spend some time with the kids and he was now free to leave the house and do… whatever it is he normally did. The Koios girl didn’t really care what happened to him or what he chose to do with his spare time. |
