Dawali nodded as the female agreed and discussed what he had said. She truly seemed fascinated by the whole deal, looking intently at Bella and offering the horse a small smile. Bella, in turn, moved her front foot nervously at the display of teeth from someone in a four-legged form, but a kind touch to the neck calmed her again, and she turned her head to look elsewhere. She had trouble recognizing even Dawali in his four-legged form, even though he had been taking care of her, and a few of the other horses, from her birth. It could be something embedded in them from the humans - Dawali didn't know, but he knew to take advantage of it, and put the horses to use. Smiling, Dawali took in Caliber's tale of how AniWaya seemed to be an unlikely place. He had heard similar tales before - most wolves who joined them and had not previously led a similar life was astonished at the differences. The newcomers and the old members formed a mutually beneficial bond, of sorts; the newcomers shared their "natural" or "primitive" knowledge with the tribe, and the tribesmembers shared whatever spiritual or practical information they had. In the end, both parties ended up having a lot knowledge on both lifestyle, securing their survival even further. The tribe had had four-legged hunting parties previously, and might do it again. It was situational, and also depended on season. You're not the first one to be confused or puzzled at our ways... Trust me, your ways are likely quite a mystery to us as well.

Another question fell off the female's lips, and again Dawali had heard it before. It seemed Caliber had been taken in by Ayegali herself then, with the aid of Catherine. The younger of those two females was all over the place lately, it seemed, and where Ember had previously been the one to greet strangers before Dawali had traversed the distance, Catherine now seemed to take part in nearly all of the newcomers' inquiries. It was good to know that there were able members within the tribe, that one could count on. However, he sometimes wondered why no one seemed to sit down with the newcomers, and answer the questions they needed to ask. Perhaps this was the role he was filling now, and if so he was glad. Nothing made Dawali happier than to be of some help. Caliber's question was not a bad question, and spirit guides could be the trickiest thing to acquire knowledge on, among all their traditions. The spirit guides.. In a way they choose you, but I like to think that fate chooses them for you - something higher than them again. They are with you from the day you live, and until you die, guiding you when you need it. They are as different as the rest of us, and while they can be both annoying, or your best friend, their purpose is to help you with those tricky decisions, or point you in the right direction when you are at a loss. A lot of newcomers never got that part down, that they have had their spirit guide all their life, they simply haven't been able to communicate with them. They haven't gone through the ultimate physical test, sought them, asked for them. One needed an amount of spiritual faith as well. Often they are "inherited" within your family tree, as well. For example in my family we have a lot of bird spirit guides - it reflects somewhat how we are.
