Relief came to her as it appeared that Anu was able to at least let go of some of her pain. She wasn't naive enough to think that it was all gone. It take more than a few words from her and more work on the part of her friend for that to truly happen. This was a step in the right direction though. Most times the first step was often the most difficult. As the older woman offered a small smile Savina returned it with one of her own. She nuzzled her muzzle against Anu's. "I know, but we'll get through it. You're not alone in this. That's the whole point of a pack." They were all there to help and support each other, through the rough times and the good. They were a family and they wouldn't let Anu fall.

Triangular ears twitched at her packmate's half comment half question. She had been so caught up in trying to help and comfort her, that she hadn't even thought that Anu didn't know her big news. The small smile that played on her lips turned into a brighter warmer one. Eyes sparkled as they always did when the subject came up. It was quite the transformation from the moment before, but that's the effect such happiness had on her. "Not exactly." She looked up into the blue eyes of the other femme. "Kansas and I are expecting." Savina let her smile grow even more. Maybe such news would even help Anu crawl from her dark feelings.
