He had moved away when she had snapped after him, suddenly aware that she had not been aware of his presence before the touch had been made. He regretted his foolish move, but his intention had been pure. Once she recognized who the man was she seemed to relax. Good. What he had done seemed not to comfort the raven warrior, and so his tongue found its rightful place behind a shut mouth. He always seemed to fail in his humble attempts to do something good. She seemed broken, low spirited. He could understand it if she had suffered a loss at the battle ground, seeing she was a Dahlian leader as well as the Head Warrior of the pack, but Haku knew as well as anyone that not all battles ended victoriously. The best they could do was to learn from their mistakes and rise higher and stronger for a second round. Her voice pained his ears, roaring up the pain that pulsed together with his heartbeats. It had been a coyote alright, and Haku had now concrete evidence of the coyote’s false truce. The cocoa male had not expected the peace between the two groups to last as long as it had, but it was now a fact that they were not safe from the coyotes’ hungry jaws any longer. How would Cercelee receive this information? She was a wolf of words, not of actions. He was the hand that brought terror down upon Dahlia’s enemies, not she. Was a second conflict on its way?

When the marked female’s hand let the fur find the ground the male leaned over to inhale the full aroma that hid in the dead cells. He was unable to recognize the individual, but the scent of the coyote’s clan stung. Haku’s eyes travelled to the shrouded lit eyes of the female and he offered her a sad little smile, a worthless attempt of reassurance. He was at a loss what to do. It had not been a smart move to come to her aid. There was nothing he could do, and he believed she would have preferred being alone in her state. He still believed in the better safe than sorry saying, but he was steadily becoming more aware of his own moves, how they made up their opinion about him. He did not want to be here uninvited, but now that he was here he did not detect any cold from the female that suggested that he should take his leave. He walked around her resting body so that she would not have to look over her shoulder if she wanted to rest her eyes on him. He sat down and wrapped his tail elegantly around his front paws, looking down at the sad sight. It would pass, her wounds were not mortal. He lowered his face to lessen the distance between them as well as to lowering himself down to her level. ”Are you okay?” A ridicules question, but rather that than nothing. His hackles relaxed a bit now when it was clear that there was no urgency.

”I will get that shit that did this to you.” Haku was not as skilled as Cwmfen in martial arts, but he was a decent fighter nonetheless. He had size, stamina, and no fear.
