He walked towards her with no reserve. Killing the distance that she had left with such purpose. It was too forward, and Anu let the feeling show in her stance. The line of fur that trailed along her spine rose, a mindless hope to make her look larger. Everything stood at attention, tail and ears. Blue eyes fought to find the life in the pupilless orbs that rested in his head, and she could only ignore the animal that he carried. There was something familiar on him, and Anu recognized her packmate’s scent that lingered on his pelt. But even the pairing of the familiar cologne and the innocent bear did not ease her hesitation.

Live here? She questioned him, her voice hard emotionless. Why should I let you live here? He would have to do the normal song and dance if he wanted to join their pack, he would have to possess qualities that made him a worthy member. He would need more then jut a lingering scent to gain entry.
