She refused to wonder what the bear meant. Though the question ran through her head one right after another, Anu would only give it a quick glance as he acted as if it was something to cherish. Maybe it was? But she wanted to focus on what he had to offer, and if he was some one that she could trust. Their defenses were up, as they should be with the newborns, and Anu wouldn’t make the mistake of letting anything dangerous through.

Was he? Anu let her surprise wash over her face. If he was talented at hiding how he felt, Anu was the complete opposite. It was a chore to keep what she thought from running along each line of her face. If he knew so many, Anu found it a lucky chance that none of them were the ones to meet and welcome him. It would have been easier for the male, but instead he was left with her. But he was honest, and Anu could respect that. Honesty was something she held close to her heart, and as his words passed through her ears Anu could finally relax.

Wanting to join may not be enough, but knowing both my superiors might just be. Anu spoke as she gave him her first smile. Warming to him was more natural for the female then keeping her guard on alert. It came easily as she added, A story teller would be helpful, with Savina’s puppies. Unsure how much pain he would have to endure Anu focused on his other talent. Anu had done her best with bedtime stories for Nani’s brood, but a true teller would be far more entertaining.


You’re sure your ready to follow the rules, we don’t want trouble makers.. it was a warning she always gave, just in case. Liability was something she did not want if a new member got out of line, though she couldn’t see him making trouble. But she had been wrong before.
