She was still by Dahlia's borders once having left the little black child behind. Sabeen knew she should be moving, leaving, but still she lingered curiously, only moving a little farther away, lest the white female descend on her. For some reason fear marked her face. Was she truly afraid of the consequences of being caught? She wasn't trespassing, but somehow, the proximity would be enough to warrant her death. She had told Vendetta she wasn't afraid to die. Had she been lying?

These thoughts lead her nowhere. Four legged, the form she inhabited mostly these days, trying to abandon her roots, she stood, not moving. You're better than them, she reminded herself. You surpass them. She thought again of the child. Hopefully her words would have some impact. She wanted the pack exposed for what it truly was: a pack of lying, murderous traitors, all eating their own tails.
