But there were different plans

Maybe it was the poor weather, in her eyes, that kept pack wolves in their homes. Mati knew that she would keep to her room in such days of gloom. Or play with the pups, or just sit on the porch and just watch the rain. Maybe it was her contentment among the wolves she called family that allowed her to just stay put and not wander. Today was different though, she had a plan, or did. But the newfound warrior had detoured Mati from that plan, and she didn’t mind at all.

She was relieved that this wolfess did not find her as a threat, or ask her to leave. When she spoke of Mati’s adopted aunt she smiled. She surly wouldn’t send her away if she was a friend of Savina. “A pleasure to meet you Asha.” She said politely, her smile softening as the woman asked of Ambrose. The brown hued female had almost forgotten that he sat in her palm. “oh.” She spoke with a little ting of surprise. “This is Ambrose. He’s a hedgehog.” Of course the little creature did not need very much explanation towards his species, but maybe towards the seat he held upon her hand.

The little creature that hailed from the Cottontail Valley just beyond her pack’s mansion only looked towards the other wolf. Mati gave a small shrug. “He wanted to see a horse too... I heard you had some.” There were none in the Shiloh Hills of around their hare lake, making them a wonder for the young woman.
