The end? Big Grin

As Ehno slowed, Gotham slowed his advance as well, stopping a few paces from the corner. His blue eyes flitted to the gap he had left, for a moment, and then moved to his uncle. The boy watched intently as the older wolf kicked a pebble or something towards the little beast, and almost jumped out of the way as the creatures flew past him. That was somewhat shocking! Gotham was a little disappointed in himself for moving to let the monster go by, but he chalked it up to a softness in his heart. He felt bad for the little guy, after all! His squeak was that of fear, not of a fearsome monster!

It paused in the doorway, and the youngster peered at it. Its little eyes were beady and strange, and its nose was so tiny. Their monster was not a handsome beast, like the two wolves that had found it. Gotham felt a tinge of sadness for it and its inability to be so wonderful, but he couldn't help but laugh along with his uncle. Smiling, he cried after the thing as it scurried away, "Arrivederci, Mister Monster!" There was some sincerity in his voice; he had truly enjoyed their time together.
