Heath did not want to drag her pelt off the paddock grounds if he didn’t have to. But she was an unfamiliar sight with a semi familiar smell. It was obvious that she belonged here, but here did not mean these pastures and with such a horrid attitude. If the horses had taught the youth anything it was that one needed a clear head and a stable temper to work with them. Gold eyes locked onto her form, and did not approve of her posture, and thus her presence inside the fenced area. And then he words, the domineering way she spoke and the cruel tone. If he had been outside the farm he would have snarled at her, but among the herd it was improper to show teeth that might start a stampede.

She spoke, and Heath laughed at her ideals. Did she not know that she was not dealing with a doe? This was not a beast that had no brain, and even Lumière sensed her poisoned attitude. The mare watched her intently, distrust written in her form. Heath followed her lead, and spoke with authority.
“Heath.” He paused, hoping for her sake that she did not attempt to take another step towards the mare that looked at her with such fear. Fear bred aggression, and that was something Heath and the herd did not need.
“Marshal, and Marquis.” he stated his rank and then took a step closer, edging between she and the mare. Lumière stood behind him.
“Corralling a beast does not give you rights to their life.” She had brought them here? So who was she? The questions would come later but right now he wanted to secure the mind of the mare.

A light toned paw held the apple, and Heath presented it to the horse. He knew them all, and though they were wild they knew the one that fed them. The red apple was a treat, and he hoped to teach the abrasive female that one got more bees with honey then vinegar.
