His eyes looked from the mare to the woman as she spoke of Ruri. She talked about him? In a way Heath couldn’t believe it, but Heath spoke of her often and thought of her even more. Was it so far fetched that she though of him too? The darker, louder side said yes. But, he was glad to take the place as her boy, though silently. He would not speak of her with this beast. Ruri was purity, and trash reeked from this wolfess. Her tone was enough to tell him that she was no good. His face did not change when she mocked his title, for what she said was true. He was the keeper of stall, hay, and all those things that were worst then that. But all those things came after the training, caring, grooming. She down played his role, but then who would be there to feed her bitch of a mare? Would she care for all the beasts that she (and seemingly she alone) had brought to these stalls and stables?

“Yes. Very gracious of you.” He said with a small smile. Looking back to the mare that he hoped to share his apple with. “Shackle them, and then leave... Don’t worry, I have fed them well.” Gold eyes would not return to her, as arrogant as she was he would feed her ego with the eye contact. It wasn’t until the mare attempted to bite him that he moved away. Strands of his ragged fur hung from her teeth and Heath laughed slightly. “Your meant for each other.” He commented, barely glancing at her. He spoke more to himself that to the woman, the black mare was a wild thing and it seemed that the wolfess would tame her one way or another. Perhaps if she asked Heath would help, though nothing in her past words spoke of such humility. Instead the male would need to drag her trampled form from the pastures after all, and at this point he didn’t mind.
