Shaking like a leaf on the corner of life.

Fall offered something that Mati had never noticed before. Of course she had been too young last year to see that colors that bloomed with the change of the season. Spring blossoms grew only in certain places, giving their bright hue to those that could find them. But the trees were everywhere, and so was the fire and sun that blazed among the branches. With the change of the seasons came a new-found muse, and the artist was excited to begin another piece of art dedicated to the death represented in the fall of each leaf.

The Captain and Nanny walked outside. The night’s chill hung in the air, and the morning dew still clung to the blade of grass she walked through. She was painting more and more, seeking the company of the pups more and more. But her walls were full and her supplies horribly low. Yet she managed to fill the box she used to carry them with almost useless things and scrounge another canvas up from a hidden place in a corner of her room. The world was not big enough for all the supplies she would use in her lifetime, if her need for distraction was always so great. The tide of her life were raging, her emotions a blur of indescribable feelings and Mati knew not what to make of it or how to solve all the problems that she faced.

Instead she wished to forget them, to pretend that they weren’t even there. To think that her brother hadn’t hurt her, to know that she wasn’t mad when she shouldn’t be, to not want to be close to someone that seemed arrogant and didn’t really want her. The male’s in her life were too much for her to deal with, and the females were no better. The violet eyed young woman matched through the grass, leaning to one side by the weight of the artist box. Forget, she forced through her brain, and as she thought it the clasps on the box broke and everything she had shoved inside spilled out onto the ground in front of the Manor. The Church woman looked down in disgust, and swore vulgarly.
