Dawali fought an amused smile as he studied the girl in the bush, so intent on not being seen and so wonderfully failing at it. She seemed shy, and quite nervous, stumbling out of the bush with a weak greeting. She seemed to take more than usual comfort in the opportunity to hide, and for a moment he wondered if she was just the easily nervous kind, or whether something had happened to her to make her so afraid. No matter the solution to that mystery, the Kalona decided that it just would not do to scare the little ones, and like he had had with the Aston children, he wanted a good relationship with this one. If he was to gain their respect as adults, he better start now. Sitting down with his legs crossed and knees pointing out to either side of him, he smiled and replied casually, trying to ease her mind. She claimed to have been doing 'nothin'', and he would not push it. "Hi there Emma." He smiled, and now he rested his elbows on his knees and relaxed his upper body. "You came here just recently, huh? Did Ember greet you?"
