Despite the girl’s own belief she did not merely do this for her family. Inferni had a firmer grip on her than she realized. Kaena was closer to her than any other being ever had been in the past, but Gabriel de le Poer held a great amount of respect as well along with the rest of Inferni. She could easily live for the clan’s name alone, but thankfully she had found more within these lands than she had ever hoped for. It was not too long ago that another uncle had opened her eyes. There was more ambition within the young female now. She had seen cruelty and she had seen kindness. She had come here with arrogance and ignorance in her heart. She did no longer wish for the same things and her perspective had changed, though perhaps not for the better.

The girl was vaguely surprised when the Aquila revealed that Anselm possibly knew more about swords. This Anselm person seemed to sit with quite a lot of useful information of every kind. Definitely a valuable member to Inferni. She hoped she would be able to get over her strange shyness and break through in order to help her own abilities by consulting Gabriel’s friend. She was delighted when the daily sparring practise was mentioned. Her uncle could easily have decided not to mention it and she would never have known. She liked the idea. She needed all the training she could get, of all kinds. Practising alone like this was not useless, but it was much slower. The girl smiled at her father’s brother, nodding.

”That’s sounds great. I need all the help I can get.” Not because she was poor at what she did, but because she needed to temporarily mute the bellowing, mental pain in her body. Physical exhaustion was preferable. For a moment the young girl stayed silent, but there was more she wanted to say now when she had the Aquila alone for once. She had not discussed this topic with anyone. Not because she intended it to be a secret, but because it never really fit to toss it in. Gabriel already knew who she was and who had given her life. ”There are wolves from the Soul family here in these lands, isn’t that right?” Now, Halo did not know how common her mother’s name was, but Jael had once briefly mentioned meeting a Soul family member and she had heard that surname mentioned by other canines occasionally.
