With Phoenix still recuperating, Pilot found himself trying to keep tabs on each of the Storm wolves. It was his responsibility to make sure things ran smoothly while the alpha regained his strength, though everyone seemed to be plagued by the same melancholy morale. Icarus had been by his father’s side for most of the days passed, and he hoped the pup would soon decide to seek some fresh air. It wasn’t good to have everyone hanging around the den with heavy hearts. Pilot didn’t know much about medicine, but he had a feeling that the mood of the atmosphere could somehow affect Phoenix’s rehabilitation.

The white wolf had gone to patrol the borders, keeping in mind that he would need to keep the pack’s safety as a number one priority. With thoughts always falling back to his fallen friend, it was hard to keep his thoughts straight as a leader. He kept questioning whether or not this was the right position for him to be in. Standing at the peak of a hill overlooking a distant border, Pilot stopped to take a break from everything. Taking a deep breath, he closed his eyes for a moment and tried to let go of all his doubts. Maybe if he could take just a moment to relax, he could go back into the situation with a clearer head.
