"By no means." He always seemed to discover Tamerlane alone and had come to the conclusion that perhaps he was the passive type, or something along those lines. Not that Pilot was bothered by it, it just intrigued him because he had never really been that way. "I’m glad it was you I came across, instead of something more menacing." He stopped, and cast a glance back towards the area he had assumed was occupied moments ago by some fiend. Still, there was nothing but a seemingly empty forest.
He wanted to say something more to the traveler, but nothing came to mind at the moment. Instead, his mouth felt oddly dry, as if it was trying to glue itself closed. His grin had dimished some, but he tried his hand at reviving it. "Things have been different as of late," he finally replied, though it was a horrible attempt at a conversation starter. Maybe he would just leave Tamerlane be for now.
