Ruri had never turned him away, not even when she was fragile, broken and frightened. That first meeting had made Heath feel an acceptance that he had never know before, and with his mind so heavy with the knowledge of his father he could not have asked for any more at that moment. He was scarred, seemingly ragged and rugged in appearance and under her blind touch and his temper could only be stifled in her presence. Her father-figure hated him, Jac was her best friend and Heath had yet to own his acceptance. And yet she loved him, took him into her home and called him her mate. He had vowed long ago never to hurt her, never cause her harm and to protect her from what wrong may enter her life. She accepted every part of him, the good, the bad, and now his desire to share the love that could never be formed into words overwhelmed him with emotions that were as powerful as the physical pleasure that only she could bring to him.

As she existed in the dark, Heath watched her face knowing that she pleasure from each long and slow stroke. The smile she wore was mimicked by his own, and the male curved his instant want to devour ever bit of her. Her satisfaction was key, and their bodies moved together as if they had never been two separate entities until Heath joined them physically as she had sewed their hearts together emotionally. Their rhythm was almost instant, the bodies working together to bring the climaxes that had been building since entering the door of their home. She was ecstasy, the purest bliss the male had ever experienced and as she tightened around him Heath could not help but shut his eyes, a rumbling growl rolling through his throat as he heard Ruri cry out.

Her pleasure, pulsing and constricting against him brought him over the edge. Heath held her close, nose buried in the fur of her neck. No sound could express the physical contentment, a feeling he had never risen to before. His breath was heavy, yet slow and powerful as he looked at her face. His hand held her cheek, his nerves settling slowly and returning to normal. But he did want it to end, and knew he would have be the same. He hadn’t, not since the day they had met.
