Ruri :] 1

The lautari often thought of her mate's job at the stables, his knowledge of the horses and all of their individual personalities. They were a part of his life and therefore a part of hers so she tried to think of them often. Now that the weather was warming she would start visiting the stables whenever she could just to be around her mate while he worked. Soleil would undoubtedly enjoy such trips to the stables as there were plenty of places to explore. Yes, he would have lots of fun and that was important.

Heath's answer puzzled Ruri for a moment. He wanted her to foal? What did that mean. Head cocked to the side and brow furrowed, the Border collie hybrid thought for a moment, running through the list of horse terms she had learned from her conversations with Heath. It didn't take her long to realize that Heath meant he wanted to breed Lumiere so she would have a baby, a foal, in the summer and he wanted Drogon, Haven's stallion to be the father. "Oh, that's good. I'm sure she'll be a great mother. I hope it all goes well," she replied before tearing off another chunk of meat from her hare. "Has Rue, Jac's little horse, been doing well? I know Jac probably hasn't come by to visit her at all. He's so funny when it comes to cold weather. You know, he walled himself up in a cabin all winter. He wouldn't even consider trying to find a coat or something to wear to keep warm," she laughed, amused at her best friend's way of thinking. In truth she hadn't seen Jac since the weather had started to change. Hopefully his long hibernation gave him lots of time to think about things. She certainly missed having him around. It worried her that she had not run into him in several weeks.

A yawn escaped her vocals as she finished her last bit of hare meat. She blind woman had cleaned the cooked carcas of every scrap of flesh and was now feeling very full and somewhat sluggish. She could think of nothing better than cuddling up in bed with her mate and falling asleep.

We can end here?

Just as his job made Ruri think of the horses as if they were part of her family just as he did, Heath thought of her place in the pack. Of course she was their voice, the one to sing in the most angelic tone in moments of joy and sorrowful remembrance. But she was also Jac’s right hand. That meant something, a lot actually. It placed her in a danger that Heath would wish she could avoid and of course it brought the two dog-hybrids together more then normal. But it was her place, and she deserved the recognition. He would do his best to understand that her relationship with Jac was different then what they had, and it was just as important but in another way.

Heath nodded, I think she will be a good mother too. of course it was all in the timing of things, as he had interpreted from his human-written books. He wanted to control such a large and possibly frightening thing. Lum was his first horse and his favorite. The two were a certainly type of soul mate. The situation could show him what it would be like to be a father, practice, he hoped, for the future. At her question Heath looked up to her face, and gave a bit of a frown. There was only a small amount of concern in his voice, not bitterness or anger. Rue is growing fine, Though he was thankful for it he knew that for the horse the fact was not beneficial, I have not seen Jac visit though. It didn’t mean that he didn’t at all. But Heath had reason to believe that the little horse was going without a proper owner. The cold was not a good enough excuse for the Marshal, and for it he had placed Rue among those that he worked with whenever he had the chance. I watch over her though. He reassured her.

Their meal was finished, and Heath wished to call the day to an end with her at his side. He took the female’s hand, Lets sit by the fire. He wanted them to rest, to ease into a state of comfort and sleep. There they could digest, and wait out the rest of the evening without any unexpected visitors.

Yes, ending we are. I will go and request the archival of this thread.

The reply Heath gave regarding Rue eased the Dauphine's worries for the runt horse. She did not know how the filly had reacted to being separated from Jac for so long, but Ruri could guess that it wasn't a pleasant experience. She too felt upset that she hadn't visited the king in some time. It used to be that she would see him at least once a day, before winter came. Then it all changed. The lautari felt her overactive imagination beginning to spiral downward into the negative beginnings of depression and quickly stopped herself, refocusing her thoughts toward Heath who had just grabbed her hand.

His invitation was met with a warm, affectionate smile as she slowly rose from the table not wanting to jostle the food in her stomach. She would gladly spend the entire night with Heath in front of the fire, one of the most comfortable places in the entire house. Her lithe form strolled slowly beside her mate to the couch where she slowly took a seat, careful to maneuver her plumed tail out of the way so as not to sit on it. She had a horrid habit of doing that when she was distracted. Almost instantly, the Lautari felt her eye lids growing heavy and she leaned against the marshal as he sat beside her. Long, silver hair draped across the both of their shoulders as Ruri rested her head on Heaths. It would not take long for sleep to claim the blind woman, not tonight with everything just as it should be.
